RICHARD AND SHEILA DREW
Richard and Sheila have been married for 17 years and have 3 daughters.
Richard is co director of Scillonia Boatshare with Chris. Born in Brixham South Devon he moved to Plymouth in the late 60’s and started work at Devonport Dockyard in 1976 as a fitter / turner. On leaving the dockyard in the late 80’s he set up his own motorbike business until 2001 when he joined Weir Quay Boatyard as a mechanical engineer.
Sheila is the company secretary. Born in her parents village shop in Bere Alston Devon. She has had various jobs and has run her own courier company before joining the Post Office in 2001.
In 2008 Richard and Sheila moved to the Isles of Scilly to run Bryher Boatyard as managers. In 2009 they took over the business themselves and Scillonia Boatshare was formed with Chris.

CHRIS JENKINS
Chris lives on St Mary’s, where he was born and raised and has played a key role in community life. Having spent his formative years being heavily influence by all things nautical, he developed a natural interest in boating and the mechanisms behind them. Chris is an assistant mechanic and voluntary crew member on the St Mary’s RNLI Lifeboat, where he has now served for over 25-years. Gig rowing is a big part of Scillonian history and Chris has been dedicated to the sport since his teenage years, and was part of the team who recently attempted an unassisted row from New York to Scilly. The proud father of two beautiful daughters, aged 7 & 5 and when he’s not out on the water you will find him embracing family life and getting to grips with equestrian techniques as he indulges their passion for ponies.
Chris set up his own company South’ard Engineering, est. 1982, the business is based on St Mary’s specializes in outboard motors maintenance and repair. He is now proud and delighted to be part of Scillonia Boatshare, and being part of the team on call to offer our customers any help and advice they might need, afloat or otherwise, to make their boating experience in Scilly just that little bit better.

HARRY GETLIFFE

Harry is responsible for on-the-water duties, especially the hand over of our boats to new customers. Born in 1989 he has been coming to the Islands for years, his parents own a house on St. Marys. A student, Harry has been working for Bryher Boatyard during the summer months since 2007.
